Mother of five (three biological and two adopted in), Shondrell "Shon" Jenkins-Longino, is no stranger to caring for young adults, teen aged children, and all that comes with them. Raised on the south side of Atlanta, Ga., she left her own home early in her teen years to escape the physical domestic abuse her mother was enduring. At 17 years old, having dealt with the mental anguish of everything she witnessed, Shondrell began looking for outlets.  With the guidance of her grandparents, teachers, and counselors she put away her rebellious ways, grew her wings and began to soar as a responsible adult. Just as Shon found her way with the assistance of those who believed in her, she believes every child needs someone in their corner. Someone they can share anything with. No matter how big or small. That belief is what motivated her to become a part of The Butterfly Effect.  Her passion and love for children is relentless and she is dedicated to being the example for them that she once needed and found in a select few. Shon has become the change she wants to see.
